THE PROPHET'S CRUCIBLE
Aug 2003
" Surely the Lord will do nothing , but he revealeth his secret to his servants the prophets..." (Amos 3:7)
In this day the voice of the Lord Speaks, perhaps for the final time. God speaks by way of prophecy, as He did
in ancient times. This has never changed, although some deny the fact that God still directly inspires people.
"Despise not prophecyings"- (1 Thessalonians 5:20) We all need to listen to Gods voice in the Earth today, both
in uplifting messages, and in dire warning. The condition of society today is such that it is heading for destruction.
God will warn such a society before judgement falls upon it.
God told the prophet Jeremiah, "See, I have this day set thee over nations, and over kingdoms, to root out, and
to pull down and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant" (Jeremiah 1:10)
Many believe America is immune from Gods judgement simply because it was founded as a "Christian Nation"
or it has so many churches, or sends missionaries all over the world or it is allied with Isreal. Unfortunately these things
will not excuse America of its rampant sins. Unless there is widespread repentance, and a shift from the blatant evil
so prevalent in society, judgement will surely come.
"The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries and
against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence, the prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the
prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the lord hath truly sent him"- (Jeremiah 28:8-9)
How do we know the word of a prophet is truly form God? There is a simple test. The word the
prophet speaks must come to pass (see Deuteronomy 18:20-22) and, The prophet must be pointing people to the true God, the
Lord Jesus Christ (See Deuteronomy 13:1-3 and 1 John 4:1-6)
"Hear now my words, If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision,
and will speak unto him in a dream."- (Numbers 12:6)
God is speaking today, just as He did in past times. But a large majority of churches deny this. Some
deny it outright, other subtly deny it by their actions.
Churches proffessing to know Christ and the Bible have become ineffective and often just a mirror of some
sort of spiritualized secular playground.
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him
and will sup with him and he with me"- (Jesus in Revelation 3:20)
Jesus himself is saying this to the Laodician church, the lukewarm, church, that is so comparable to many
in the land today. Most of the time this verse is used in a sermon, it is directed at unbelievers in a salvation message.
The preachers interpretation is that Jesus is standing at the door of your heart, knocking, trying to get in so you can be
"saved." This is completely out of context with the surrounding verses.
Jesus has been shut outside the door of His CHURCH, and the congregations are oblivious to this fact! Jesus
knocks on the door of the church, wanting to live within his people who are called by his name. The Laodician church,
which represents many churches today, has shut Jesus out. They have a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof.
"For the time is come that Judgement must begin at the house of God..." (1 Peter 4:17) God will begin his
judgement by purging his own house- the Church. In Ezekiel 9:1-6 the Lord sets a mark upon all those who cry against
all the abominations done in the city, (verse 4) and when the Judgement begins, all those who are not sealed with this mark
are destroyed, begining at Gods sanctuary~ "Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house" (Ezekiel 9:6)
Frightening stuff isn't it? Are we become so complacent, so desensitized, that we feel we are immune to Gods dealing with us
in a similar fashion?
There is a terrible need today, and that is the need for a revolutionary manifestation of the living Spirit
to flow through the body of Christ and fill it to its fullest. There needs to be a radical shaking, the complacency
and hard-heartedness that has settled within the churches needs broken! That also goes for the strict legalism and conformity
to church rules that have an outward showing of holiness, but in reality are nothing but dead works without true spirituality.
Fear not to prophesy these things, "For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee
unto them, and thou shalt say unto them, thus saith the Lord God. And, they whether they will hear, or whether they
will forbear ( for they are a rebellious house) yet they shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.---- Be not
afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words...(Ezekiel 2:4-6)
We live in times when the choices we make will determine the course of the nation and the world. If
this society continues in its rampant disregard for life, its violence, perversions, sorceries in the form of drug and alcohol
intoxication, and its idolatry of material things, destruction will come. Look at the 90's, numerous disasters suddenly
struck America: Floods, Tornados, Earthquakes, domestic terrorism, bombings--- then 9/11 which should have been a wake up
call for the nation to repent and turn to God- but instead the majority just continues on in evil, sinful, perverted lifestyles.
Jesus is outside, shut out from most proffessing Christians lives. People think they can have Jesus and continue in
their sins, Isaiah 43:24 says "thou hast made me to serve with thy sins---" And in 2 Kings 17:32-33 it says "So they feared
the Lord, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places. They feared the Lord and served
their own gods!" This is exacltly what many do, claim to know Jesus, to fear the Lord, yet they are involved in all kind of
iniquity, reveling, drunkeness, perversion, violence- and think that God just excuses them. Judgement will come upon
such as this. Even moreso because the Nation claims to be a christian nation who fears God- yet at the same time it
has some of the highest per capita rate of sin in the world!
"Then shall they know that I am the Lord, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations
which they have committed--- And when this cometh to pass (Lo, it will come) then shall they know that a prophet hath been
among them"- (Ezekiel 33:29+33)
This shaking and purging is not a bad thing, though many might find this message uncomfortable. But
when you think about it, there may be areas of your life you struggle with- doubts and fears, lack of faith, stagnancy---
and you're wondering if there's more to it than what you presently experience. Yes, there is more to it , much more!
On July 28, 2003 this inspiration came to me from the Holy Spirit, " The first Thunder pealed and there was a great darkness
over the land, and a stillness as before the storm, and the gloom parted, and, behold a light shone in the heavens as a great
star, and all was silent."
Two weeks later several states experienced a major blackout, then two weeks after that the planet Mars came
closer to Earth than it has in hundreds of years, shining brightly---
In the 1990's the Lord revealed several visions and prophecies prior to their occuring upon Earth.
The World Trade Center bombing (1993) Mississippi Flood, LA Earthquake, Kobe Japan Earthquake--- all these showed the Lord
speaking, revealing , and warning----
The Lord spoke of a stillness before the storm, that this storm would be preceeded by darkness over the
land, then a bright light in the heavens as a great star----
If we would become intimate in our relationship with God, then we will be able to understand and see such
mysteries personally.
I pray these messages enlighten whosoever reads and that all can walk upon the path God desires you to journey------
